Evil eye
The evil eye is a sacred symbol used for centuries as protection against negative spirits in Mediterranean culture. Its spiritual meaning dates back to ancient Rome and Greece, and today can be seen printed across boats, bags and above doorways to ward off evil, and of course, jewellery. Legend has it that the evil eye works as a shield for envy, reflecting any evil back to where it came from and protecting its owner from any harmful spirits.
Alemdara jewellery is designed to be worn every day – to pair beautifully with other favourite jewellery pieces or to be playfully and creatively combined with other jewels within the Alemdara collection. Each piece is handcrafted in the ancient markets of Istanbul, using techniques that have been passed down through generations. This piece has been certified in accordance with the Hallmarking Act 1973.
